Ranbir Turns Director

One of the highlights of Bombay Velvet is that Karan Johar plays a baddie in it. Of course, the filmmaker was all geared up to be guided by director Anurag Kashyap in terms of acting.

Surprisingly enough, it was co-star Ranbir Kapoor who gave him instructions on acting. At the trailer launch last night, Karan revealed, “Ranbir actually co-directed the film with Anurag as far as I am concerned because Anurag would give me one instruction and Ranbir would give me three others. Most of my scenes were with him, so I felt that I was being directed by him as well.”

Anurag confirmed this news, saying, I never saw Karan as the director on the sets. He came on the set as an actor and stayed as an actor. Ranbir was the one who was a director but only to Karan Johar.

Karan also added that Ranbir holds promise as a director. Ranbir has the makings of a great filmmaker, which is a great fallback plan for him if all things do fail, he said in light vein.

So when will you revive the prestigious RK banner, Mr. Kapoor?
